Our new exhibition "From Oil Lamp to OLED: Light on The Potato Eaters. This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Van Gogh Village Museum and Eindhoven University of Technology.
In his first masterpiece, Vincent van Gogh wanted to capture the hard life of a Nuenen farming family. After a long day's work in the fields, there is only one source of light: a small oil lamp that illuminates their faces and the bowl of potatoes.
How different it is today, in a world full of LED lights and screens! Students from Eindhoven University of Technology set to work on this. You will find the result of this collaboration in this new exhibition.
