What can be seen in Salon Nune Ville?

• Parental home of Margot Begemann (Vincent van Gogh's lover)
• 19th century art gallery with paintings by Vincent van Gogh's artist friends.
• 19th century attic with a furnished servant's room from that time and the room of the Jewish boy Jaap, who was in hiding here during World War II.
• Furnished 19th-century rooms.
• Mangle room and garden.
• On the first Saturdays of the month, also the pastor's garden with Vincent's painting studio.

The house in 18th-century style, was built in 1874 for Rev. W.L Begemann.

It is located next to the parental home of the painter Vincent van Gogh, who lived and worked in Nuenen from December 1883 to November 1885. Reverend Begemann and his family went to live there. He and his wife soon died but their four unmarried daughters continued to live in the house, including Margot, Vincent van Gogh's later lover.

The house served as a Reformed parsonage from 1926 to 1954. It was then bought by the Van Gogh family, who had it restored and so Nune Ville House remained a historically valuable monument.

Huize Nune Ville is now privately occupied, but can be partially visited on Saturdays and other days upon request (see arrangements), with garden.

Opening hours:

Every first Saturday of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (last tour starts at 4 p.m.), a guided tour starts every hour and lasts about 50 minutes. Max. 8 people per hour, visiting Nune Ville, the gardens and Vincent van Gogh's studio at the Domineeshuis. Start: always at Nune Ville, Berg 24.
