Join Beavernaut on a space journey along the Planets Path!
Put on your walking shoes and follow Bevernaut, the curious space character who takes you on an experiential walk through our solar system. The Planets Path is a child-friendly route of about 2.5 km, where you walk past a scale model of our solar system.
Along the way, you'll encounter twelve informative signs with fun facts and hands-on assignments that Bevernaut has selected especially for children and youth. Learn, discover and marvel as you explore the planets with Bevernaut!
The trail is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible, making it perfect for a family outing in nature.
You start at the observatory of Sterrenkundevereniging Noorderkroon at Domein de Bever and follow the planetary plates along the pond to WZC Aan de Beverdijk. A handy leaflet with the route is available for free at Inspiratiepunt De Groote Heide, Domein De Bever, V.V.V. Hamont-Achel and the UiTpunt in Hamont-Achel.
