VVV Nuenen, Gerwen and Nederwetten is housed in Van Gogh Village Museum Museum. Here you can obtain route maps for cycling or walking, for example along the Dommel river or the Van Gogh cycle route.
Nuenen presents the unique situation of having both an exhibition on Vincent van Gogh and the open-air museum with the many locations he painted or drew during his stay in Nuenen. The combination of the exhibitions in the museum and the open-air museum explains the name Van Gogh Village.
In the museum you will hear the stories about him and read his stories about Nuenen. You'll also learn more about the Van Gogh family. We get to know Vincent van Gogh as a human being. We see through the landscapes room, his fascination with weavers and his exploration of light and color in Vincents Lichtlab, his development into a world-famous painter, resulting in his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters.
