Nuenen: Only one of the many weaver's houses that Nuenen owned in the time of Van Gogh still exists. It was built in 1763 and is now a national monument. It is a fine example of what the small houses of Nuenen's home weavers looked like. Vincent was fascinated by the poor weavers. He drew and painted them at work behind their looms.
