Tax opportunities
As of January 1, 2012, the tax authorities have expanded the rules for donating and investing in ANBI foundations. A limited number of foundations have been designated by the tax authorities with the new ANBI Culture status. The foundation The Friends of Vincent Van Gogh & Nuenen and the foundation Van Gogh Village Nuenen have this ANBI Culture status.
What is the tax benefit of being a cultural ANBI?
As of January 1, 2012, donors of cultural ANBIs are eligible for an additional gift deduction. Private individuals may deduct 1.25 times (the multiplier) the amount of the donation in their income tax return. Companies subject to corporate income tax may deduct 1.5 times (the multiplier) the amount of the donation in the corporate income tax return. Read more in the above document YOUR GIFT.
