Every once in a while we get a special request. Like around Valentine's Day, whether we wanted to collaborate on a marriage proposal. A ballerina-to-be danced through our museum. And a Nuenen fashion designer had a real photo shoot in the museum.
Today the Urban Sketchers were at the museum. What beautiful pictures they produced!
This is Gordina de Groot, "Sien. Sien sitting at the table in The Potato Eaters. She was a farmer's daughter from Nuenen and was often a model for Vincent van Gogh. Sien is briefly back in Brabant, and temporarily on display at The North Brabant Museum in Den Bosch.
🥳🎉 Cayleigh van der Horst chosen as The New Vincent Nuenen, during a pleasantly busy meeting at our museum. The jury praised her for continuing to surprise herself, not shying away from any challenge, her work ethic, interest and ability to concentrate.
